Q: Can I edit my listings after they're posted online?
If you decide you'd like to edit your listing you can do 1 of 2 things; remove the old listing and create a new listing, or email us with the changes. We'll just need your email address, a link to your specific dress (URL), and of course the changes.
Q: Can I make multiple dress listings?
Yes, you can make multiple dress listings. Each time you are contacted about a specific dress a link to the dress listing that is being inquired about will be found in the email inquiry so that you know which of your listings is being inquired about.
Q: Do I have to set up an account to use TheDressList?
No, you can simply create a dress listing with your email address and that's it. You will be contacted by email from any interested buyers. Your email address will always remain confidential. We will never give your email or contact information to anyone
Q: Does TheDressList facilitate payment or make shipping arrangements between the buyer and seller?
No, those details are entirely up to the buyer and seller for each transaction. Remember, it's never a good idea to accept wire transfers, money orders or cashier's checks.
Q: Does it cost anything to use this site?
No, it's absolutely Free to use this website. We don't have any hidden fees at all.
Q: How long will my dress be listed?
This ones up to you! We'll keep it on the website for 6 or 12 months, you decide.
Q: How many images can I upload?
TheDressList.com is able to upload up to 3 images per listing.
Q: How will I be contacted by interested buyers?
TheDressList will forward you any emails directed to you from interested buyers. Your email address will never be made public. Be sure that our emails aren't tagged as spam by your email account & check your email often so that you can respond to buyers.
Q: Is TheDressList.com involved in any transaction?
No, TheDressList.com is not involved in any transaction when buying or selling a dress or with any vendors. We are just the website that makes it all happen!
Q: What do I do once I sell my dress? How do I remove my listing?
After selling your dress you can remove it by going to your dress listing and looking for the tab that says "Do you want to remove this dress listing?" You'll need to provide the confirmation code you received in an email after listing your dress.
Q: What if I can't find my confirmation code from when I listed my dress?
No problem, send us an email and be sure to include your email address and a link (URL) to your dress.
Q: What if I don't see my city on the website?
As TheDressList.com continues to grow we keep adding new cities, however we suggest that you let us know by "suggesting a city" and that you list your dress in the next closest city for now. You can enter your specific location when listing your dress.
Q: Why would I want to buy a used wedding or special occasion dress?
At TheDressList you can find a gorgeous, briefly-worn dress for hundreds or even thousands less than you would pay for a new dress. And while you're saving money, you're also reducing your environmental impact by re-using a pre-owned dress.
Q: Will TheDressList buy my dress?
No, TheDressList.com is designed to facilitate the buying and selling of dresses by private parties. We don't actually buy or sell any dresses. We are however more than happy to help you sell your dress by listing it on our site.
